Flexible Season Tickets were introduced to support flexible commuting patterns and provide eight days’ travel within a 28-day period. The Government aims to review the overall cost-effectiveness of Flexible Season Tickets as part of its wider work to ensure that fares and ticketing continue to reflect changing travel patterns and passenger needs. Through Great British Railways, passengers will benefit from a more consistent offer across the network, with reforms to simplify fares, expand Pay As You Go ticketing and make rail travel better suited to modern travel patterns, while balancing affordability for passengers with value for taxpayers.
