Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, whether her Department has made an assessment of the potential merits of amending the British Museum Act 1963 to enable the permanent transfer of objects from the British Museum's collection in exceptional circumstances, including the Parthenon Sculptures.

The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport has made no assessment of the potential merits of amending the British Museum Act 1963. We have no plans to change the law that would permit a permanent move of the Parthenon Sculptures.
