Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, with reference to the investment case for pleasure-inclusive sexual health published in the British Medical Journal, what assessment his Department has made of its value for money compared with other international HIV and STI prevention interventions funded through UK aid.

The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office has not yet engaged with the World Health Organisation on the topic of pleasure-based sexual and reproductive health as published in the British Medical Journal, or assessed the merits or implications of this approach for UK-funded sexual and reproductive health and rights policies and programming, including HIV and STI prevention programmes.
