Recycling: Costs

Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what data her Department holds on the trends in costs for using recycling centres; and whether she has made an assessment of whether there is a link between these costs and the number of instances of fly tipping.

Defra does not hold any data on trends in costs for using recycling centres. Local councils are not allowed to charge for small scale household waste at Household Waste Recycling Centres.
