The Department does not record the costs for translation services and interpretation separately.

We can confirm the Department of Business and Trade spent £60,489.15 on translation services in the 2025 calendar year. This figure includes providing translation services and also where the Department required translations or interpreters. Interpreters are used for a range of reasons, including Ministerial meetings with counterparts from around the world due to our international brief.

The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology did not record any costs for translation services and interpretation in 2025.
