Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps the Government is taking to allow patients who are entitled to free NHS prescriptions to voluntarily choose to pay for their prescription.

People who are entitled to free National Health Service prescriptions can generally choose not to claim their exemption and pay the prescription charge instead, if they wish to do so.
