Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what steps she is taking to help increase the capacity of wastewater infrastructure.

Water and sewerage companies in England and Wales must now produce statutory Drainage and Wastewater Management Plans outlining how they intend to manage their systems, accounting for population growth and climate change. In parallel, increased action on rainwater management and reduced sewer misuse will increase network capacity.
