Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, if he will make representations to the Financial Ombudsman Service Board to require the Service to signpost complainants to the Independent Assessor and the applicable one-month time limit at the point of issuing a final decision letter.

The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) is an independent, non-government body, and is best placed to respond to this question. The FOS will respond to the Honourable Member by letter, and a copy of the letter will be placed in the Library of the House of Commons.
