Rape and sexual offences are among the most harmful crimes in society and can have a devastating impact on victims, their loved ones and our communities.

On 28 August the Prime Minister announced that all police forces are to have a specialist rape and sexual offences team by December 2027. The National Centre for VAWG and Public Protection (NCVPP) is working closely with all police forces in England and Wales, including Cambridgeshire Constabulary, to support the development of specialist teams, ensuring victims receive a consistent, trauma-informed service and that investigations are suspect-focused, helping to bring offenders to justice and provide the best possible support for victims.
