The UK Food Security Report 2024 showed that climate change has weakened food supply stability. Despite this, the UK continues to have a high degree of food security due to the continued resilience of our food production and global trading systems. Defra is investing in resilience; spending £200 million up to 2030 through the Farming Innovation Programme for short- and long-term resilience to our changing climate.
