Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, with reference to the Government response: Child Maintenance: Improving the collection and transfer of payments, published June 2025, what plans are in place to ensure the process of consolidating the CMS into a single service type is sufficiently resourced.

The project is currently sufficiently resourced, with experienced Child Maintenance Service staff working closely with colleagues formulating the policy. Resourcing requirements are regularly reviewed, and plans are in place to adjust resource levels as necessary to ensure the successful delivery of the programme as it progresses.
