Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, what steps she is taking to ensure that transfers of monies and assets between limited companies owned by political parties are not caught by the profit test proposed in the Representation of the People Bill.

The Government is committed to ensuring that the new company donation rules operate effectively in practice across the wide range of company structures that exist. In developing and implementing these reforms, we will continue to consider the position of all companies, including those with historic or operational links to political parties.
