Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, pursuant to the Answer of 8 September 2026 to Question 23228 on Armed Forces: Railways, what progress she has made in delivering an integrated approach to domestic and international rail movements to enhance the resilience and effectiveness of Defence's strategic logistics network.

As referenced in the previous answer, this is an area of continuing activity. The Department for Transport is working with the Ministry of Defence on the development of rail capability options. This work seeks to enhance the resilience, capacity and effectiveness of Defence's logistics network, strengthening the UK's ability to support NATO operations and deliver national defence objectives.
