Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, pursuant to the answer of 10 June 2026 to WPQ 7223, what the analysis of the benefit to cost ratio of the Ely Area Capacity Enhancement showed.

The March 2022 Outline Business Case for the Ely Area Capacity Enhancement scheme indicated a benefit cost ratio of 4.89 : 1. These assessments have not been updated since the scheme was paused by the previous Government in 2022. The Ely scheme remains under consideration and will be reviewed as future funding opportunities arise.
