Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, what steps her Department is taking to address the wellbeing and workload harms that school inspection can place on education professionals.

Inspection and accountability are essential to ensuring every child receives a high quality education. At the same time this should not come at the expense of teacher and headteacher wellbeing, which we take incredibly seriously.

The department is working with Ofsted and sector leaders to ensure accountability is collaborative, proportionate and fair, while remaining focused on delivering the best outcomes for children.
