Following the announcement at the 2026 Farnborough International Airshow, the British Business Bank is working with a prospective fund manager, industry partners and the wider aerospace sector to develop the fund's structure, strategy and eligibility criteria.

Whilst the criteria are still being agreed, the fund is intended to support both small and medium sized high-potential UK aerospace suppliers as they scale and invest for future opportunities, including businesses operating in dual-use areas. The aim is to strengthen the competitiveness, resilience and growth of the UK aerospace supply chain.
