The Government recognises the importance of the rail corridor connecting Bristol, Keynsham and Bath and is working closely with Great Western Railway and Network Rail to improve reliability and capacity for passengers. This includes measures to improve operational performance, continued investment in infrastructure renewal and maintenance, and the introduction of additional rolling stock across the Great Western network to strengthen resilience and increase capacity. The Government will continue to work with industry partners to deliver a more reliable railway and improve connectivity across the region.
