Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, how much has been received in compliance payments under the Zero Emission Vehicle mandate in each year since its introduction; and how that revenue has been allocated.

No compliance payments have been received under the Zero Emission Vehicle Mandate.

Compliance payments are not a primary means by which manufacturers comply with the Mandate: a manufacturer only needs to make such a payment if they are not compliant after exhausting all the other compliance routes the Mandate makes available. Any compliance payments collected under the scheme will be recycled across a variety of Government grants and initiatives to support the UK’s transition to zero emission vehicles.
