Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, when they expect to establish the Task and Finish Group announced in the Farming Roadmap 2050 to develop proposals for channelling private finance into sustainable food production and nature-based solutions.

The Farm Profitability and Private Finance Taskforce is expected to be established this Autumn. Its workplan, priorities and outcomes will be subject to agreement with its members, but the Secretary of State and I expect its outputs to be targeted, focussed and practical.
