Question to the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero:

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, what plans her Department has to allocate additional funding to local authorities that have had to close or pause applications for Warm Homes: Local Grant Funding due to budgetary constraints, to help support more low-income households during winter 2026–27.

The Autumn 2024 budget allocated £500 million to the Warm Homes: Local Grant scheme for eligible local authorities to support the installation of energy improvement measures in low-income households. Delivery of upgrades began in April 2025 and will run until March 2028. The Department is considering whether further funding can be made available to support delivery of the scheme. If additional funding is secured, Grant Recipients will be informed accordingly.
