Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, what assessment his Department has made of (a) the impact of Stamp Duty Land Tax on the Integrated Retirement Community sector and (b) the potential merits of a relief when private operators buy back and issue new leases.

The Chancellor makes decisions on tax policy at fiscal events, and does not routinely comment on proposals.
