Defra and devolved governments are reviewing UK battery regulations, including extended producer responsibility. We are improving public awareness through the Office for Product Safety and Standards’ Buy Safe, Be Safe campaign, supporting the Recycle Your Electricals campaign, and working closely with industry on future interventions to combat battery fires.
