To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what assessment she has made of the potential impact of levels of legal protection for badgers on farmers.

Levels of legal protection for badgers are considered within the Government's wider approach, such as managing bovine TB and supporting farmers. That approach is informed by the latest available scientific evidence and is, in the case of bovine TB, reflected in the co-designed bovine TB strategy for England, published in June 2026.
