To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what steps her Department is taking to remove barriers to the creation of water storage shared between multiple farms.

We are supporting collaboration on water resilience through Water Abstractor Groups, which help abstractors identify collective solutions to local challenges including shared storage.

The Environment Agency via the Local Resource Options Screening Studies are encouraging farmers to identify practical local water solutions, including opportunities for shared water storage and other collaborative infrastructure.
