We keep our controls under review to ensure they keep pace with evolving risks arising from export and transfer of sensitive dual-use technologies.

In 2022, we made significant updates to our Military End-Use Control, making it more effective to counter these threats. We are also working with our international partners and have jointly introduced controls on emerging technology, for example items related to quantum computing and semiconductors.

We will continue to review our measures to strike the right balance between restricting access to sensitive technologies to protect national security, and facilitating legitimate exports to support sovereign innovation and growth.
