Question to the Department for Education:

As with existing GCSEs and other formal qualifications, electively home-educated children seeking to take a vocational GCSE as a private candidate would be expected to enter through an approved examination centre.

Any practical, controlled or non-exam assessment forming part of the qualification would need to be completed through that same centre.
