Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what steps her Department has taken to set regional river restoration targets.

The Government currently delivers regional river restoration through River Basin Management Plans. In the Water White Paper, the Government committed to explore setting new ambitious overarching targets for the water environment, to incentivise effective action from all stakeholders to clean up the nation’s waters.
