Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, whether her Department has a policy to proactively send episode-specific air-quality warnings directly to news media, distinct from publishing forecasts or providing opt-in public alerts.

The Government provides air quality information through established channels to support public awareness. We will keep our approach to communicating air quality information under review and will continue to consider the most effective ways of ensuring relevant information is available to the public and stakeholders.
