No assessment has been made of the potential merits of refunding visa application fees where a refusal is withdrawn or overturned and there are currently no plans to carry out such an assessment in the future.

The circumstances in which an application fee may be refunded are set out in the Home Office’s immigration and nationality refunds policy, available via the following link: Immigration and nationality refunds policy (accessible) - GOV.UK.

Fees are paid for the consideration of an application. The Home Office does not refund an application fee where an application has been refused or granted.
