As the UK's National Technical Authority for cyber security, the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) works around-the-clock to make the UK the safest place to live and work online. The NCSC works closely with partners in the Government Digital Service, Cabinet Office, and organisations across HM Government and the public sector to drive improvements in cyber security and cyber resilience. As part of GCHQ, the NCSC is subject to internal governance, performance, and assurance processes.

The NCSC's work is also subject to parliamentary scrutiny through the Intelligence and Security Committee of Parliament, which was established to examine the policy, administration and expenditure of the UK's intelligence and security agencies. The NCSC and GCHQ are additionally subject to wider government accountability, audit, and assurance arrangements.
