Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, for what reason Cambridgeshire County Council’s Local SEN Reform Plan did not meet the required threshold for approval.

Cambridgeshire’s plan was assessed as needing strengthening in the following areas:

• A stronger articulation of the first-year delivery plan and the three-year road map.
• Further clarity on sufficiency and capital planning.
• Stronger articulation of system leadership, partnership working and co-production.
