The Government is boosting urgent and emergency care capacity with £140 million to fund a further 14 new urgent care schemes across England.

As part of this, Queen’s Hospital in Romford has been allocated over £42 million to fund a comprehensive transformation and reconfiguration of its emergency department. The investment will modernise the emergency department, with improved patient flow, waiting areas, children’s accident and emergency facilities, and digital systems, helping to reduce waits and corridor care and improve patient safety and experience.
