The Government recognises the vital contribution hospitality businesses make to jobs, local economies, high streets and communities across the UK. We are supporting the sector through a £10 million Hospitality Grant Scheme to boost growth, resilience and innovation, and have introduced permanently lower business rates for eligible retail, hospitality and leisure properties, benefiting over 750,000 properties. We are also backing pubs, clubs and live music venues through additional business rates support.

In addition, the Government has partnered with the hospitality sector to support the creation of more than 100,000 jobs for young people aged 18 to 24 who are not in education, employment or training, helping businesses recruit, develop skills and grow. We also engage closely with businesses and trade associations through the Hospitality Sector Council to address challenges and support productivity and resilience across the sector.
