My Department does not hold data on unspent Section 106 contributions.

Since the financial year 2019/20, any local planning authority that has received developer contributions, including Section 106 planning obligations, must publish online an infrastructure funding statement by 31 December 2020 and by the 31 December each year thereafter.

My Department will continue to explore proportionate and efficient ways of collecting and analysing data from future Infrastructure Funding Statements, alongside other relevant sources of evidence.

I otherwise refer the hon. Member to the answer given to Question UIN 54059 on 6 June 2025.
