Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, what steps her Department are taking to embed basic emergency preparedness and resilience education within secondary school curricula.

The department expects to hold a public consultation on proposals for the curriculum and assessment system later this year, following publication of the government response to the Curriculum and Assessment Review final report in November 2025.

As part of the review process, the department will consider what content may be relevant on resilience, including citizenship, democracy, media and digital literacy.
