Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, what recent estimate he has made since March 2026 of how much will be required in interest to service the National Debt for the current financial year.

Debt interest forecasts are produced independently by the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR). The Chancellor of the Exchequer has asked the Office for Budget Responsibility to prepare a new economic and fiscal forecast for publication on 28 October 2026.
