Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, what steps his Department is taking to facilitate partnerships between British and Guyanese (a) universities and (b) professional institutions.

The UK values educational and professional links with Guyana and supports collaboration between UK and Guyanese institutions. Chevening and Commonwealth Scholarships help strengthen long-term academic and professional connections between our countries. Since 1984, around 200 Guyanese scholars have received Chevening Scholarships.
