Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, whether he plans to advise UK citizens to hold some cash reserves in the context of international hacking reports.

The Government has provided public advice on preparing for emergencies through the Be Ready Campaign website. This includes advice that people may wish to consider keeping cash for essential purchases in case electronic payments or cash machines are disrupted. The amount held should reflect each household’s circumstances and needs.
