Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what assessment has been made of the extent to which current EPR thresholds, reporting requirements and enforcement arrangements create opportunities for avoidance or place disproportionate costs on compliant producers.

Extended Producer Responsibility for packaging thresholds are designed to limit disproportionate burden. The effectiveness is subject to ongoing monitoring and review, including compliance monitoring, reporting and enforcement against scheme objectives and outcomes.
