Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, whether her Department has issued guidance on planning requirements for bike racks in new developments in (a) the London Plan and (b) Local Plans; and whether she intends to revise planning guidance on the matter in light of levels of take-up of rental e-bikes.

I refer the hon. Member to policies TR2 and TR4 of the new National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) published on 17 August.

Planning practice guidance will be updated in due course to reflect the new NPPF.
