Question to the Cabinet Office:

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, with reference to the letter from the Independent Adviser on Ministerial Standards to the Prime Minister of 27 February 2026 relating to the conduct of the hon. Member for Makerfield, whether any substantive (a) letters and (b) representations were received by (i) his Department and (ii) the Independent Adviser secretariat but not read by the Independent Adviser on Ministerial Standards.

The Independent Adviser on Ministerial Standards is independent of Government.

The work undertaken by the Independent Adviser on Ministerial Standards in relation to the former Member for Makerfield is set out in his advice to the Prime Minister of 27th February 2026 which is published on gov.uk.
