Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, whether his Department is monitoring content that is publicly available on social networking sites using overt monitoring techniques.

In respect of media management and campaign communications, the Treasury’s communications team monitors relevant publicly available social media content to evaluate the effectiveness of Government campaigns.
