Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how much of the £900 million extra funding announced by the Government for social care on 15 December 2016 will be received by St Helens Council.

As part of the measures announced in the Local Government Finance Settlement St Helens Metropolitan Borough Council will have access to an additional £2 million from the Social Care Precept and £1 million from the Adult Social Care Support Grant between 2017/18 and 2018/19.
St Helens will also have access to £5.4 million from the Improved Better Care Fund over this same period.
