Until the UK leaves the EU, we will remain subject to EU trade and investment agreements and policy, including the environmental provisions within trade agreements. The UK has long supported the promotion of our values globally and this will continue as we leave the EU. In addition, the UK is party to around 30 international environmental agreements and treaties in its own right and will continue to be bound by the obligations they contain. We also continue to support the EGA (Environmental Goods Agreement) which is being negotiated through the WTO, and hope that a successful conclusion to negotiations can be achieved as soon as possible.
