All healthcare professionals (HCPs) who carry out either Work Capability Assessments or Personal Independence Payment assessments undergo thorough training in disability analysis, as well as training in specific conditions, including mental health conditions.

Mental Health Champions are available to provide advice and support to HCPs on health conditions and disabilities affecting mental, cognitive, intellectual and behavioural function.
