Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what steps she is taking to help improve food security.

Food security is national security. That is why we are working across Government to make sure food supply is built into our emergency preparedness, and why we have set up the Food Preparedness Group, which brings Government, industry and civil society together to plan for acute and catastrophic risks to our food system.
