Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what steps she is taking to support the Environment Agency in preventing flooding.

We are investing at least a record £10.5 billion until 2036 – the largest flood programme in history. Our record investment will benefit nearly 900,000 properties.

Additionally, this year we are spending £1.4 billion on over 600 flood schemes, protecting communities in every corner of the country.
