Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what criteria are used for approving student visas.

All applications for Student visas are assessed against the requirements of the Immigration Rules and the Home Office’s published guidance.

This includes having an offer from an approved education institution, English language skills at the required level and being able to support themselves financially during their studies.

For an application to be successful, all relevant requirements must be met.
