Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, what assessment she has made of the impact of powers in The Payment Services (Amendment) Regulations 2024 on preventing, disrupting and detecting fraud.

The Government takes the issue of fraud very seriously and is dedicated to protecting the public from this appalling crime.

I refer the hon. member to the answers given to UIN 6733 and 6734 on the 11th June 2026.
