Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask His Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of the use of artificial intelligence by tenants to assist in disputes with landlords and letting agents.

The government has not undertaken a formal assessment of the use of artificial intelligence (AI) by tenants to assist in disputes with landlords and letting agents.

Government-approved property agent redress schemes operate independently and are responsible for their own complaint-handling processes, including how they accommodate material prepared using AI. The department will continue to monitor developments in this area through its oversight of the schemes and other sources of data.
